You can manage your objects with the edit menu options: cut, copy, paste, duplicate, group/ungroup, convert to objects, add to library, arrange, lock, select objects (with finger or Apple Pencil), and delete.

Cut or copy any selection from the canvas and paste it anywhere in the canvas within your sketch—or across different sketches.

Text, images, and drawings from other apps can also be pasted into the canvas.
Content like drawings, text, or images can be copied from the canvas into other apps, including PencilKit apps like Notes.

Duplicate

Quickly duplicate to repeat selections without recreating them.

Group / Ungroup

Group multiple objects into one object to move, resize, or duplicate them together. You can ungroup them at any time.

When grouping objects that include strokes, the strokes are removed from the drawing layer and become part of the group.
Ungrouping restores those strokes to the drawing layer.
